Sling Media released the first official version of the Slingbox player for Mac today. The big news is the new player now supports the Apple TV.
Sling Media, a digital lifestyle products company, today announced the availability of SlingPlayer™ for Mac, a software client for Slingbox™ customers who want to view their home TV or Apple TV™ on their Apple® Macintosh® desktop or laptop computer. SlingPlayer for Mac, Version 1.0, includes photo-realistic remote controls as well as the ability to program favorite channels with a full range of viewing modes all leveraging the iconic Mac® OS look and feel.
I have been using my slingbox for a few months now, the beta versions have worked well, and I am excited to hook up my new Apple TV to it in the next few days.
Rumor has it Sling Media is also working on iPhone support with Apple, so that when the iPhone is released in June, you will be able to use your slingbox to watch TV on your iPhone. Just one more reason to look at the iPhone.

1This is one great product that has been released. I work at DISH where I bought mine. Watching TV where ever you may be is freedom. I like that I can watch my TV at break or lunch, the options never cease.
