As you most likely know, installing widgets when using Safari is simple, just download the widget, and it asks you as part of the process if you want to install it. Simple. But what about us Firefox users? When you download a widget, it is saved on the desktop, end of process.
In the past, I had to drag it into Library –> Widgets and authenticate it, bring up dashboard, and activate it, a process that took a few minutes, and was not easy for new users.
Well, no more. Just download the widget to your desktop, double click on the widget, and your mac will ask you if you want to install the widget or cancel. Just click install, and it will bring up dashboard, asking you if you want to keep the widget on your dashboard or not. That took all of 5 seconds now, didn’t it?
