BackPack by 37Signals is by far the best online organizational utilities available today. We use it to keep track of possible future stories, links to the site, SEO keywords are targeting amongh other items. Whether it is text or images, Backpack is fantastic.

There are times when I am traveling that I don’t have access to the internet, and hence, no access to Backpack. Welcome in PackRat. Just download PackRat, sync it with your Backpack account, and you have access to your entire Backpack account. Not only do you have access, but you can change any pages or items, and even add pages. Sync it back up with Backpack, and your changes are uploaded to your account.

PackRat can do anything that BackPack can, for the most part. While I personally don’t think it is as elegant as BackPack, it does work, and it works well. Prior to PackRat, my access to BackPack was limited, and kept me from utilizing the service to its full extent. Now, I have access to my data 24 hours a day if I need it.
